Fun Day and Ending a Great Year!!!!!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful day! I have had an exciting day! Caleb and I kept our sweet nephews Carson and Connor last night and then I had them today and we had so much fun! We played with Woody and Jesse and watched lots of movies! They will be 3 in February and time has flown by! It seems like they were just born and it is so sad to think they are growing up so fast! I love watching Caleb with him, he is going to be a great daddy some day!
Here is a picture of them! It's hard to catch them both looking! haha

I am so excited because tomorrow Caleb is off of work and we are going to spend the whole day together doing whatever we want and we will celebrate bringing in the new year! 2010 has the been the best year ever and I do not see how we will ever top it but I know God has wonderful plans for out future and there is no one I would rather take this journey with than my sweet husband!

In June I married the love of my life and in December we both graduated college! We have definately had an eventful year! We are so blessed and do not deserve any of it but are grateful and we want to spend our time and energy serving our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

We pray each of you have a wonderful New Year's and may God be glorified in 2011!!!!!

Happy New Year's from our family to yours!

"Thanksgiving Fun"

I hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far. Caleb and I have had a wonderful past couple of days. I am sooooo excited to be out of school this week and looking forward to Thanksgiving! I LOVE this time of year. On Friday night they had a Christmas tree lighting at a local place in town that has a big shopping center and we went with Caleb's parents to see them light the tree! It was beautiful and they even had fake snow! ha

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed getting to hang out with Caleb's parents!
On Saturday we had Thankgiving breakfast with my mom's side of the family and it was soooo yummy! It was a good home cooked breakfast and afterwards, all of the girls helped mema decorate her tree! Fun times! I love my family and I am so thankful for them!!

Caleb and I are SO excited about the holidays and starting our new family traditions!

"D Now"

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week! I am so excited about being out of school next week and I cannot believe I only have 13 more days of school before I graduate! I am absolutely loving my internship, but I am VERY ready to have my on classroom and wonderful students. During my internship, God has definately confirmed this is what he has called me to do. There is nothing better than working with children and watching their faces light up when they "get it".

I also wanted to share a couple of pictures from our D Now weekend that I talked about in my last post.

A wonderful group of girls that I was able to spend my weekend with!

My wonderful friend Tiffany! I am so thankful for such a Godly friend like her! Tiffany has been a great encouragement in my life and her and her husband Will even helped Caleb and I on our house several times last summer! Great memories! I am blessed to be able to call her friend. I love ya girl!

As you can see from the few pictures, we had a wonderful weekend and I am so thankful for my church and our wonderful youth leaders!

We are having a family night tonight and watching the Alabama game! ROLL TIDE!!!

Busy Weekend!

Hope everyone has had a wonderful Monday! Caleb and I are catching up on rest from our very busy weekend. This weekend at our church we had our Disciple Now with the youth. I was a host home with 10 precious girls staying at our home and then Caleb was at another host home with the high school guys. We had an amazing time talking about True Love Waits and on Sunday night the students made a comittment to our Lord and Savior, their parents, and their future spouse to remain pure until marriage! It was a wonderful sight to see and I so enjoyed talking with them over the weekend and being able to share how True Love is really worth waiting for.
I have lots of pictures to share and will be sharing them with you in the days ahead. I am counting down the days until Friday, which will begin my Fall/Thanksgiving Break for an entire week! I am loving teaching but definately am ready for a break!

MY TRUE LOVE WORTH WAITING FOR!!! I am SO blessed!

"The Most Wonderful Time of The Year"

I am SO excited about Christmas! Caleb and I are going to put our tree up Monday night and we have already been watching lots of Christmas movies! We cannot wait to decorate our new home for the holidays! I decided to change my blog for Christmas! It still needs some work but I am loving it already! Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Caleb and I have enjoyed just hanging around the house this weekend because next weekend we are involved with a Disciple Now at our church where we will host students at our home and do a study for Friday and Saturday. This year the study is on True Love Waits! Caleb will be staying at another home with some of the high school boys and I will be a host home staying at our house with some of the high school girls! Caleb and I are so excited to be apart of this and to share our story of how "True Love" really does wait!

I am loving the two shoe boxes that Caleb and I will be taking to church tomorrow for Operation Christmas Child. We went and bought our items today for a sweet little boy and a little girl and we pray they bless the sweet children that they will be given too. If you have never heard of OCC, it is wonderful and it is not much money to invest in the life of a child!

I am also loving the charm my parents got me today for my Pandora bracelet!

Don't forget that we fall back tonight! yay!
Hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Sunday!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I cannot believe that Monday will be the first week of November! I love fall and all the many wonderful things that come with it. I also LOVE Christmas! I have already started watching Christmas movies and listening to Chistmas music!

These are some of my favorite movies and I love to watch them over and over again! I am also LOVING buying new Christmas decorations this year since Caleb and I have our own home! I cannot wait to put up our Christmas tree and all of our fun decorations! This year will be so much fun because we are going to start family traditions that we will do each year! But, before Christmas comes Thanksgiving and I also LOVE Thanksgiving and I especially love

the MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE!!!!! The parade is so much fun to watch and I would love to go someday! I am always so very thankful for my wonderful family and friends but especially this time of the year! This weekend I am SO thankful for my wonderful husband!

He was off of work on Friday and he cleaned the entire house for me, so I would not have to do it Saturday and then I was able to sleep in today and it was so nice! He is the BEST!
He is encouraging,

A spiritual leader of our home,

He is loving,

He is forgiving,

He is understanding,

He is hardworking,

He is selfless,

A provider,

Protector,

Funny, Caring, Giving, Talented, Respectful, trustworthy, kind hearted, God honoring, and I could go on and on!!!!
Caleb is my VERY, VERY best friend and I am so thankful to call him my husband!
I am so blessed to be the one chosen to be his wife!
Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the week!

"Weekend"

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week. Caleb and I have. It seems as though we have not been home a lot this week so this weekend we were able to stay home a little and it was so nice. Friday night we went out to eat with my parents at Longhorn and we had a lot of fun. Today we cleaned, I was able to scrapbook(which I love), and we also got to play a little Wii. It was wonderful to be able to stay home and just relax with each other. Tonight we are hanging out with Caleb's family and the boys are getting their haircuts!

I wanted to share a couple of pictures from our weekend last week with our nephews. Our nephews spent the night last Friday night and we had so much fun. On Saturday we took them to the park and these are some of the pictures we took.

We are loving this wonderful weather! Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend.

"Bittersweet"

Today is a bittersweet day! Today is my last day with my wonderful fourth graders! I have had a GREAT experience and cannot imagine how it could have been any better! For the past 8 1/2 weeks I have been able to spend my days with 25 fun 9 and 10 year olds and they have taught me so many things but most of all I think I will be a better teacher thanks to them and my wonderful supervisor and cooperating teacher! I will never forget this exciting experience! I am so thankful for the ministry God has called me to be a part of for my career! I have been able to learn not everyday is the best. Somedays I have went home exhausted and feeling like I did not get anything accomplished but then there are the days when a child has been having trouble "getting" something and then they finally "GET IT" and they light up all over and it makes those bad days seem much better! So, I am very sad that the time has come for me to leave my fourth graders, but I am super excited because I am half way to graduation and on Monday I will get to meet my new Kindergartners! I thought graduation would never get here, but as each day passes I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.
As I draw closer to graduation I am reminded of so many teachers that I had in elementary and high school and the wonderful influence that they had on my life. So many of them are the reason I have pursuing a degree in education today!
I hope I can impact many lives and pour into students and show them God's love by my actions and words like so many have done for me!

I am SUPER excited about tonight because our nephews are coming over for a spend the night party at Uncle Caleb's and Aunt KK's! We are going to have soooo much fun! Tonight at my school that I am currently interning at they are having their fall festival. Caleb is bringing the boys to meet me and we are going to all go to the festival! I am excited about Caleb finally being able to meet all of my wonderful students! Tomorrow, Caleb and I will be taking the boys to the park! I will post pictures soon!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful afternoon!

Blessed!

Caleb and I had a wonderful week and weekend! Earlier this week we ate with my parents and we roasted marshmallows, which I absolutely LOVE during the fall! It is so relaxing to sit by a warm fire while eating a yummy roasted marshmallow. : ) I had also bought Caleb and I a pumpkin to go on our front porch and I love ANYTHING with initials on it so I had my mom paint our initials on our pumpkin and it turned out SUPER cute!

Friday night we were just able to relax with Caleb's parents and we ate and played some games! I love to play games and the more people the better. Saturday we watched the Alabama gamewith my family! It ended up not being to fun to watch but we are still pulling for our team! Roll Tide! I love watching the ballgames with my family! We are big Alabama fans and love game days!

Always lots of fun! Saturday night we went and saw Chris Tomlin in concert! It was like a HUGE worhsip service and it was incredible! Caleb and I love Chris Tomlin's music! His songs are wonderful and so encouraging and always are reminding of how GREAT our God is and to hear them LIVE was even better! We also went and ate at Longhorn with our friends Erin and Casey! We had a great day!

We also wanted to wish a late VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO Caleb's dad/my sweet father in love, Kenny on Sunday! We will be celebrating sometime this week, but Sunday was his actual birthday! We are so thankful for him! He works out of time a lot with the railroad so we ae not able to see him much, but when we do we are so thankful and it makes those times so much better! He usually grills for everyone else so we will have to cook him something up good this time!

Like I have shared before, we are doing the a study with Priscilla Shirer at church and I was reminded once again this week of the wonderful plan God has for my life! I want NORTHING but God' plan for my life because his plan is the best plan! It is so easy to get caught up in my plans with my "planner" without even consulting my Heavnely father about it but I pray I continue to be more concerned about God's plans for my life than my plans! Caleb and I are so blessed and we have also been reminded this week to not take for granted what God has given us! We have the BEST family, a great church and church family, wonderful friends, a warm home in the winter, a cool home in the summer, clothes in our closests, food in our pantry, cars in our driveway, a sweet puppy, energy for each new day, and most of all a relationship with our loving and merciful Heavenly father whom has given us all we have and need!

I am also so thankful for the AMAZING husband God has given me! Caleb is absolutely WONDERFUL and far more than I have EVER deserved! I am a BETTER, Christian, daughter, daughter in law, sister, granddaughter, cousin, aunt, teacher, and friend because of him! Caleb and I will have been married four months the 19 of this month and I cannot believe it has already been that long! We are enjoying every moment with each other as husband and wife and we LOVE being married. I pray I am the wife God has called me to be each and everyday I wake up!

Hope everyone has a great week!
Abundant Blessings, Kayla
